Entitlement & Victim Mentality: a vicious cycle
'You should be making me successful!'
This phrase makes my eyes roll repetitively. Unfortunately, it isn't an infrequently heard phrase. It’s used by many individuals across a variety of generational age gaps, races, religions, and socioeconomic wallet sizes. 'You should be making me successful' are the kind of statements that prove to us that entitlement exists and responsibility and accountability have gone for a holiday. Sadly this relationship with entitlement leaves individuals with an inability to own their own success leaving them consistently frustrated at life, struggling to develop responsibility and personal accountability. To experience the success we must not give our responsibility for it away, here's how we can stop the entitlement and begin being happy little Vegemite again.
Why you should be a big kid & 10 ways to unleash the inner child!
How many of you would say that your life is jam-packed full of fun? How many of you would say that you excel at ‘adulting?’ Personally I believe that adulting is a super wanky (excuse my French) way to say ‘I am super responsible and fairly boring’. Life isn’t about proving how responsible you are, life is meant to be enjoyed. Life is meant to be FUN. How are you enjoying your life?
Tips to Staying Youthful
For the past six years friends, colleagues, the public have always assumed I was 6 to 7 years younger than I am. I know that society, particularly women, are on a constant search to determine the elixir of life that keeps them looking young and youthful so I am letting some of my simple yet effective ways to look consistently half a decade younger out of the bag.
How to choose a personal trainer
Let's be real the world of personal training is oversaturated. Everyone will say they are amazing, 99% of personal trainers will all have clients, 95% will all market themselves the same yet a far smaller percentage will be worth the time or money. When it comes to investments, your health, your body is the most worthwhile investment you will ever make so it’s important to get the personal trainer selection down pat. The post gives you some go-to identifiers to select the right PT for you.
Fasted cardio- what's all the fuss about?
The latest fitness craze is Fasted Cardio where you essentially choose not to eat before you exercise, you simply get started. I'm going to be totally honest, I don't know why there is all of a fuss about it all of a sudden. I've been doing fasted cardio for a decade. It isn't a new concept. Here's why I enjoy working out on an empty stomach for those who might be considering jumping on the Fasted Cardio bandwagon.

There are MILLIONS of books that you can read anywhere in the world but if you could pick just 2 books that would change your life dramatically these two books below are the golden books. I have had countless coaching clients, friends, and family members who have had their lives changed by these books.
Frugal tips to follow even if you're rich
'Frugal' seems to be a word that's merely mentioned when one is struggling for cash, infrequently do we discuss frugality as a means to wealth. It is probably because society has almost scented this word with the smell of stench, deciding that frugality is something only poor people do and therefore something to be highly embarrassed about. The reality is that being frugal allows us to make money
How to have a blissful holiday
You have decided to embark on a new adventure, your mind is full of checklists, you're merely hoping you won't forget something. I get it. A trip can be stressful which is ironic considering it’s about vacating your life right? Here's how to distress, kick back, and relax on a holiday.
Why journaling is a self care tool you need!
'I need to get this off my chest. It's really bugging me but what if they think I'm crazy when I tell them how I really feel?' You've probably said this phrase before, if not aloud you've said it to yourself. We often crave a confidante who we can share our secrets with, to offload how we feel because we know that we when to do this we will feel 1000x better than before however we frequently worry about how we will be received by the person we talk to. This is why I love journaling (and that I'm that confidante for people when they need it).
How capable are you?
Capability is your ability to perform. This can be your ability to perform academically, socially, professionally, financially, physically, and sexually. How capable you consider yourself to depend on who you listen to. When you listen to anyone other than yourself you will define your capabilities based on someone else’s version of success
Inferiority is a choice
Maybe I am meant to feel inferior as a woman but I have to tell you, I don't. It's not because I haven't felt my fair share of criticism or judgment for being considered less than I am its simply because I know I am no less than anyone. Over International Women's Week this past week, I have enjoyed interviewing a couple of women about how they positively impact the world, I have looked back and laughed on the moments I was underestimated and what I've reveled in is the reality that I don't feel small because I have never believed in playing small.
Socially conscious boss babe Lucy Bloomfield is making a difference
The second lady I interviewed for International Women's Week was boss babe Lucy Bloomfield. This fabulous woman has some serious goal kicking in motion and some insanely great advice. You'll love this post!
The Cancer Warrior- Cielo Superticioso
The first superwoman to feature as part of this International Women's Week celebration is Cielo Superticioso, a passionate teacher who kicks cancer's glutes with positive advocacy in her spare time. I am so pleased to have interviewed her for this International Women's week and to give her a shout out right here where I encourage people daily to 'inspire yourself' to be the best you can be.
HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S WEEK!
HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY! It is time to celebrate all that is female, our fabulous femininity, our ability to lead, to empathize with others, to communicate our emotional responses to life. We really are different from men in the most beautiful of ways, our difference doesn't make us weak as some would like to suggest but rather incredibly strong.
My new favourite hobby
Thrifting. I have fallen in love with it. Turns out that Facebook Marketplace has become my new BFF. What started out as a smart way to get rid of a couple of items has really stepped up a notch, becoming another stream of income. To be fair, it wouldn't be a stream of income if I hadn't put way too many things into storage a couple of years ago when I first moved to London or if I simply bought only what I needed but I didn't then and so it has become a clever way to get back at least part of what I spent in the past.
14 things I love.
It's love month, so what better month to share my greatest loves! Enjoy! xo
1. Being underestimated
2. Milo on icecream
3. Laughing (especially till I cry)
Forgiveness- a special blogpost by Rashdah Hameed
“It’s one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive. Forgive everybody” Maya Angelou
Since I have learned to forgive for me life has become a much more beautiful place, I have no burden to carry and I have become more productive! Boiling rage and bitter resentment of being wronged or harmed would make me want to hurt or punish the person that had caused me that pain but not anymore.
Why love is always worth celebrating
Last week we had Valentine's Day, some people who weren't coupled up perhaps may have dreaded the day, hell some couples may have even hated it because of the expectations they subliminally felt but whether you love or loathe Valentine's Day, February is a superb month to take a pause and celebrate love itself, whether you are single, taken, divorced, widowed or a child still grasping the concept.
